Glintplus is launching a special issue on floods and climate-related crises soon and invites interested reviewers to join her review team.
Floods and other climate-related crises are impacting human lives and health, and the environment in a variety of ways. It threatens the essential ingredients of good health – clean air, safe drinking water, nutritious food supply and safe shelter – and has the potential to undermine decades of progress in global health and economy.
Unexpected environmental developments and disasters are becoming more common across continents, including catastrophic floods in Pakistan, Nigeria and others, heavy rains in Italy, wildfires in the United States, deadly landslides in Uganda, a super typhoon in the Philippines, a powerful storm in Spain, and a hurricane in Cuba, to name a few. Several lives have been lost, many people have been displaced, the economy has been severely harmed, and many other consequences have been reported.
To avoid future incidents, academic groups and the general public must grasp the causes and implications of these crises. As a result, we are launching a special issue titled “Flooding and other climate-related crises: consequences and mitigating measures,” which will be freely published online in all three of our journals (considering the scope of the journal and the context of the article).
Please register on the portal of a journal (listed below) that is suitable to your field and select “Yes, I would like to be contacted with requests to review submissions to this journal“. Please include the title of the special issue as one of your review interests.
